| Singer/songwriter John
Simon is a founding member of the Radio London Collective. He
was formerly the rhythm guitarist for Coconut Therapy, and has
been a hardcore '60s pop music fan since he was a boy growing up on
Manhattan's Upper Westside. John's acoustic guitar is the rhythmic
center of the band, and he's mainly known for his vocals on the
Elvis and John Lennon numbers, along with his collaborations on
shimmering background vocals with Kenny Z. John can also be heard many
Saturday night's as host of "Rockin' Remnants" on WVBR 93.5 FM
in Ithaca [5-8 p.m.].

Ken Zeserson plays saxophones and lead guitar, and adds his voice to almost all of our numbers. Signed to Atlantic Records back in 1968 (with the band Sideshow), he was also a founding member of the Purple Valley Band here in Ithaca. Ken continues to free-lance with several local groups and has been devoting more and more time to exploring his saxophone's jazz roots.
| Jon Hilton, dubbed "the Rock of Gibraltar" (by John Simon), played bass guitar with Coconut Therapy before his Radio London days. In the daytime, he runs Hiltronex Sound on Ithaca's West Hill, producing syndicated radio shows, doing film scoring (for Sesame Street, among others), and mastering and duplicating CD projects for most of Ithaca's local talent pool. He has been a lecturer at Ithaca College's Park School of Communications since the mid-nineties. | ![]() |

Fred Koslov, lead guitar and vocals, had played in countless bands in and around the Ithaca area since the late '70s. He was a founding member of the Cayuga Klezmer Revival, played for many years with Bernie Milton's Soul Patrol, and most recently played bass guitar and Telecaster with A Fine Kettle of Fish (with bandmate John Simon). Fred lost a valiant fight with cancer in the spring of 2003. We carry him in our hearts whenever we play and we salute our fallen brother.
| The golden-piped Jan Nigro was recruited to fill in when Fred's illness was first diagnosed. For nearly five years he sang and played keyboards and lead guitar in Radio London, until finally stepping down in the Fall of 2005 to devote more time to various other musical projects. He continues to front the nationally-recognized and award-winning Vitamin L Chorus. and is the director/arranger/mastermind behind Ithaca's Mostly Motown performing ensemble. Jan can currently be found performing with our own Ken Z. and a bunch of fine local players in the swinging Jazz revival group The Romantics. | ![]() |

flashback to a simpler time.... |
|
Mark Cushman hails from Minnesota, and has held down the beat for many groups through the years. Locally, he's been the drummer for the Purple Valley Band and Good Dog, Bad Dog (among others) - but he's now the full-time Radio London drummer. He's got a great singing voice, too. And his most recent innovation to the Radio London sound is his newly-acquired "drums-on-a-stick" (an electronic drumkit). Too cool for words..... |
