June 20, 2008 (Friday) - The Ithaca Festival, on the Ithaca Commons [9 p.m.] Radio London (as a quartet) closes out the Aurora Street stage on Friday evening . It's the biggest party in town. Check out the schedule and c'mon down! July 21, 2008 (Monday) on the Ithaca Commons Radio London kicks off Downtown Office Workers' Appreciation Week with a noon-time free show. Come see the Office Workers' Olympic Games (Mousepad Frisbee toss, Paperclip Shooting, etc.), grab a bite to eat and join the fun! July 24, 2008 (Thursday) - Groton (NY) Summer Concert Series. The full band will appear at the Conger Boulevard Gazebo from 7-9 p.m. Bring a lawn chair, a blanket, a picnic or just yourselves. Rain location is Groton HS. Fun, fun, fun! August 1, 2008 (Friday) - Cornell Summer Concert Series on The Arts Quad [7:30 p.m.] An Ithaca tradition and terrific scene...great tunes in front of the stunning Ithaca sunset with lots and lots of summery Ithacans and out-of-towners. Bring a lawn chair, a picnic blanket, some refreshments and your dancing shoes! Rain location: Uris Hall. Meanwhile.... John & Ken have been playing around town as....The Yardvarks, with Tom Farrell on guitar, harmonicas and vocals and Eric Ott singing and playing 5-string bass. Tight harmonies, intricate instrumental interplay, and a very cool and eclectic repertoire. Catch a glimpse of The Yardvarks soon! July 19 (Saturday) - The Stonecat Cafe in Hector [9-midnight]. Award-winning food and drink in the heart of Fingerlakes Wine Country, with the swingin' sounds of the 'Varks for a late-night meal or just to be part of the scene! August 3 (Sunday) - Ithaca Farmers' Market at Steamboat Landing, 10:30-1:30 p.m. It's the full quartet playing at our fabulous bountiful market. Food, crafts, gifts, waterfront breezes and us! August 7 (Thursday) - Ithaca Downtown Summer Concert Series on The Commons [6-8 p.m.] at the Bernie Milton Pavillion. Dozens of fine dining options, specialty shops, a sea of lawn chairs and Commons characters make for a fun evening of entertainment. August 27 (Wednesday) - The Red Newt Bistro in Hector [7-9 p.m.]. Stunning sunset vista, world-class menu and the sultry summery sounds of the Yardvarks. September 5 (Friday) - The Pourhouse in Trumansburg [7-9 p.m.]. Way-cool community meeting place on Main Street (a few doors past the Rongo) serving great tavern fare, all sorts of legal beverages, and a great way to kick off the first weekend of the school year! September 20 (Saturday) - Six Mile Creek Vineyard in Ithaca [2:45-4:45]. Part of their Harvest Festival Weekend festivities - right up the road from Ithaca College and part of a fabulous line-up of musicians and vendors. September 21 (Sunday) - The second annual Porchfest in Ithaca's Fall Creek neighborhood. Details as it gets closer, but we'll actually be on Tom Farrell's front steps in the mid-afternoon. No lie!
